Heading west

We started heading west through Virginia and Tennessee. Some lovely scenery along the way. I must say I am very impressed with their  rest stops. The are often called Welcome Centres and are loaded with tourist information, brochures, vending machines, good restrooms. Heaps of trucks on the road, and lots of truck stops.
Stayed in the Great Smoky Mountains, visiting towns like Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. Quirky towns with tacky amusement attractions, but also very interesting. This is Davy Crockett country too.
Not much time, so caught trolley into town for a look around then back to RV. The temperature has been dropping, nearly down to freezing point.
